It?s been a while since I made a mixtape (about a year and a half) but this o­ne?s been in planning mode since last summer. But it?s finally finished and up for your delectation. We?ve got ambient electronica, electro Remixes, hip hop, dubstep (including a dubstep version of Justin Timberlake?s ?My Love?) and more. 16 songs, just over an hour – all ready to be burned o­n to a CD or your iPod. It seems Def Jux is a little jealous of Stones Throw Records collaborations with animated panic-spreading geniuses Adult Swim so they decided to get o­n the free mixtape action too. Darfur refugees in Chad

Many thousands of displaced people are in need of relief supplies

The African Union (AU) peacekeeping force in Darfur is struggling to halt widespread abuses and violence, but Sudan is rejecting plans for it to hand over to a larger, stronger UN mission.

More than two million people are living in camps after fleeing almost four years of fighting in the region and they would be even more vulnerable without any peacekeepers.

Sudan’s government and the pro-government Arab militias are accused of war crimes against the region’s black African population, although the UN has stopped short of calling it genocide.

Sudan also rejects moves by the International Criminal Court to name and then try war crimes suspects.

K1LL3R> Chrome Children 2 Remixed released HipHop Stones Throw

“Chrome Children” is a joint project between [adult swim] and Stones Throw records. After years of using the music of Stones Throw artists like Madlib, Oh No and J Dilla in our bumps and packaging, we decided to take our partnership a bit further. The result? “Chrome Children”- 19 songs deep, a year in the making, it features all new music from each member of the Stones Throw roster.

Also packaged with the album is a DVD with an hour long documentary featuring live performances by Egon, M.E.D., Peanut Butter Wolf, J Rocc, Oh No and Roc C, Percee P, Madlib, and Madvillain. The documentary was shot by us, your favorite [adult swim] crew, at this year’s South By Southwest music festival. We also threw a few of our “cards” in there to make it feel like home.

First we brought you Dangerdoom,
then Chocolate Swim,
and now, “Chrome Children.”
Don?t sleep o­n it.
